Wastewater Pipeline Abandoned After Protests

July 30, 2012- China abandoned an industrial wastewater pipeline plan by a subsidiary of Oji Paper, a Japanese group in China after residents went to the streets to express their concerns over potential water pollution. It is the third time this year for the Chinese government to respond to protests regarding environmental concerns.
