22 May 2013- Earlier this month the Ministry of Environmental Protection announces investigation results of groundwater pollution in the North China Plain which started in late February 2013 (see our notice on this here). The list of 56 companies (previously 55 companies) using seepage wells and pits with no anti-leakage protection to discharge and store waste/wastewater is made public today.

See the list for these 56 companies in their respective provinces (Chinese only):

• 6 in Tianjin (previously 5);
• 6 in Hebei;
• 1 in Shanxi;
• 14 in Shandong; and
• 29 in Henan.
