4 Regions in China Named ‘Extreme Risk’ in Maplecroft’s 2012 Water Stress Index

10 May 2012 – Maplecroft Water Stress Index 2012 shows that four regions in China: Beijing, Tianjin, Jiangsu and Shandong face ‘extreme risk’ alongside Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.

Maplecroft CEO Alyson Warhurst advises, “Businesses should undertake impact assessment and monitoring of water stress and water security and other areas of risk that conflate with such pressures including food security, conflict and energy availability.
