Initially started as a personal interest, King spent over 12 years exploring and developing urban vertical farming capabilities with a focus on Aeroponics that grows plants with their roots hanging in the air and misted with nutrients. Based on this work, he developed a commercial aeroponics system and founded Genius Greens, an urban vertical farm in Hong Kong. Genius Greens grows tasty and nutritious specialty leafy greens and herbs that are delivered directly to home and fine dining restaurants. Besides his passion for vertical farming, he has 30 years of Greater China & Asia Pacific business development, branding and management experience including a public listing on NASDAQ as CEO of NetEase.com, a leading China portal in the year 2000.
