DING Shanshan (Helen) currently serves as the Green Supply Chain Director at Institute of Public and Environmental Affairs (IPE), one of the the leading environmental organizations in China. For the past four years, Helen has worked with an enthusiastic team engaging nearly 100 multinationals sourcing from China to improve the environmental performance of their China supply chain. She and her team also employ the Green Supply Chain CITI Evaluation (co-developed by IPE and the Natural Resources Defense Council, NRDC in 2014) and the latest Climate Action Transparency Index (CATI) to evaluate brands’ environmental and carbon management of supply chains in China. Helen has contributed to two books on the issue of green supply chain, both published in 2020. Prior to joining IPE, Helen worked for 3 years as the assistant researcher at School of Environment, Tsinghua University, China. She has a M.A. in Environmental Politics with DISTINCTION (Keele University, UK), and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations AND Media with First Class (Keele University, UK).
