World Business Council for Sustainable Development – Business Guide to Water Valuation

WBCSD Water launch the Business Guide to Water Valuation: An Introduction to Concepts & Techniques, an online guide to help companies better ascertain the true value water has to their business.

This Guide is free, and it explains the main concepts and techniques associated with water valuation, drawing from the progressive efforts of companies that have already started valuing water. It is illustrated by 25 case studies of business-related applications and will help managers commission, manage and review water valuation studies, as well as make the best use of the findings.

We believe this is a timely tool as there is growing global recognition that water is rarely valued or priced appropriately. As water demand continues to rise further stressing water supplies, businesses will have to look at the real value of water to their business.
