Two Degrees Celsius + Water
24 April, 2012 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
China Water Risk, Business Environment Council and Climate Change Business Forum (CCBF) will co-host: 2oC Plus Water
Globally, fresh water demand is growing and supplies are shrinking. Locally, Chinese agriculture, power generation, mining and cities are all vying for a water supply that is just 25% of the global average per capita. Rampant pollution and advancing climate change are exacerbating an already fragile situation.
The first event in the series: 2oC Celsius Plus Water will make the link between climate change & water. It will introduce why water, as a critical and increasingly scarce resource, matters; provide an investor perspective on how businesses should think about water risk; and explore how companies are addressing water risk.
