Impacts of Climate Change on Water and Environmental Management

“Climate change has been a topic of great interest and concern for environmental professionals for the past few decades, and this subject is now an integral part of our daily lives. As such, society is now actively aware of this phenomenon and demanding that actions be taken. Measures being adopted in response to climate change such as pollution control, waste reduction, minimising energy and water consumption, etc. will all play a vital part in improving the environment and helping to resolve this critical issue. Policy makers are now taking into consideration the impact of climate change in their decision- making process, while technology providers are aiming to provide more elaborate and advance solutions to cope with these changes. CIWEM HK aims to establish a platform for experts in these specific areas to share their local and overseas experience, and in turn stimulate initiatives that can attenuate, if not reverse, the adverse impacts of climate change.”
