12th IWA LET Conference: Water & Wastewater Technologies
30 May, 2015 - 3 June, 2015
The leading edge technology conference is an IWA initiative to increase and expand the global toolbox for water management with a focus on urban water systems and river basin management. LET is devoted to research and development in the field of water technology, and also to speeding up the practical application of successful new ideas. It aims to bring together leading researchers, technologists and water experts from across the globe to enhance co-operation, and to make a marked contribution to the goal of providing safe water for everybody.
LET is not solely focused on promoting solutions and their implementation, but on the development of new and ground breaking ideas and their transformation to applicable technology. It is devoted to the future. Hong Kong was selected to attract experts from the Asia region, which is facing some of the greatest water challenges and is home to some of the leading edge solutions.
In a rapidly urbanising world, ensuring access to inexpensive and safe sources of water is one of the greatest global challenges, and the beneficial impact that emerging technologies can have in making clean water more accessible to more people cannot be overstated. This becomes even more evident in densely urbanised areas like Hong Kong.
